Paul Scott acquired by VandA

Written by Bluecoat Display Centre | Posted on: May 13, 2011

The Bluecoat Display Centre are delighted to announce that the V&A Museum have acquired work by acclaimed artist Paul Scott for their collection. Alun Graves, Curator of the Ceramics & Glass Collection visited COLLECT 2011 last weekend and was very enthusiastic about the display, not only of Paul Scott, but the group as a whole. They have purchased Italian Casserole, part of Scott’s Cumbrian Blue(s) series, featuring in-glaze decal on Spode’s Italian porcelain casserole dish with gold lustre. It was salvaged from the kiln area in the closed Spode factory on one of Scotts visits (see image above).

The stand then travelled to the Bluecoat Display Centre, Liverpool, as part of Collect(ed). To read more about the Bluecoat Display Centre’s stand at Collect, and Paul Scott, please click here.
