Laura makes contemporary hand-printed and digitally produced fashion accessories including bags and scarves for men and women. Primarily she uses bright and bold patterns on luxurious fabrics including silk, wool and leather.
“The style is influenced by my urban environment from which I draw and photograph a broad spectrum of imagery such as broken down industrial units to sophisticated windows in high rise buildings. I take inspiration from artists including Gunta Stolzl, Patrick Heron and Marrimekko to ensure my work retains an excitement and freshness.”
Having studied a Bdes (hons) in Printed Textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone Art College in Dundee, Laura knew that I wanted to pursue this as her future career.
