Free BBC Get Creative workshop: Printmaking with Gill Curry

Free BBC Get Creative workshop: Printmaking with Gill Curry
Saturday 18th May 2019

Get Creative Festival is a BBC led campaign that encourages participation in creative activities and recognises and celebrates the arts and culture that happen every day across the nation.

Local printmaker Gill Curry will be holding a family friendly drop-in workshop at Bluecoat Display Centre from 1pm – 3pm teaching people how to make simple monoprints. Gelli Printing Plates are ideally suited for the production of colourful and unique monotypes (also called monoprints). Bring some leaves, feathers or flowers to press (or use ones which we will collect on the day) to quickly and easily make some amazing designs for greetings cards or prints.

This is a free event so just drop in to have a go between 1 – 3pm. in the Bluecoat Display Centre exhibition area. The event aims to inspire people to get involved and try something new.  The important thing is to have some  fun.

Get Creative is a campaign run by a group of cultural organisations to celebrate and support the everyday creativity happening in homes and public spaces. The Get Creative Festival runs from 11-19 May 2019.
