Name: Kitty and Dude

The entertaining outlook of Kitty & Dude stems from a personal interpretation of childhood pursuits teamed with a potent nod towards 1950’s Pop Art and culture. Cosima enjoys combining contrasting ideas and focusing on designs that delight both the aesthetic and intellectual senses: "I spend hours scouring junk and charity shops for exciting vessels with interesting surface patterns or things with a particularly kitsch feel. As my second hand collections grow, so does my inspiration. There is always a ‘tongue in cheek’ element to my work, I want to communicate with my consumer on several levels so that they enjoy the product aesthetically and also get a kick out of the design. I am particularly fond of slip casting- majority of my collection is produced this way- it gives a wonderfully slick finish and often leaves room for a clever quip."
